THE TEAM

(ECG) is the developer of the Neighborhood Hotels™ platform. Our focus is to acquire real estate in the center of Chicago’s hottest neighborhoods for conversion into professionally managed, apartment style hotels.

Our properties provide travelers high quality, residential style accommodations in densely populated, core neighborhood locations. Our fresh approach to design, combined with a curated technology solution, provides travelers the amenities of a luxury hotel with the freedom that comes from living like a local.

Through institutional quality asset and property management, we provide guests with consistency, privacy and security not found when staying in someone else's home separating us from a typical Airbnb.
We run on EOS.

Jonathan Gordon

Founding Principal | Experiential Capital Group

Founder & Chief Executive Officer | The Neighborhood Hotel

Jonathan Gordon is the Founding Principal of Experiential Capital Group (ECG), an investment and development platform focused on building and scaling durable hospitality and experiential real estate investments where risk and reward are aligned. He is also the Founder & CEO of The Neighborhood Hotel (TNH), a hospitality brand designed to deliver consistent, design-forward lodging experiences through institutional-quality operations and technology.

At ECG, Jonathan is responsible for firm strategy, capital formation, platform development, and portfolio oversight. ECG operates as a standalone investment business, underwriting opportunities where operational expertise and guest experience can drive differentiated outcomes. Where appropriate, ECG leverages The Neighborhood Hotel’s operating model, systems, and hospitality technology to enhance performance across asset classes.

Jonathan founded The Neighborhood Hotel to address the gap between traditional hotels and short-term rentals, combining upscale hotel operations, centralized technology, and residential-style design. TNH serves as both a growth platform and a strategic operating advantage, enabling ECG to bring hospitality expertise into mixed-use, adaptive reuse, and experiential real estate investments.

Prior to founding Experiential Capital Group and The Neighborhood Hotel, Jonathan served as Director of Asset Management at Equity Commonwealth, where he was responsible for budgeting, capital planning, and lease negotiations across a portfolio of office, retail, and industrial assets. Earlier in his career, he spent a decade in tenant representation at Cushman & Wakefield and Transwestern, advising institutional and corporate clients on leasing strategy and portfolio optimization.
